Ancient Chinese Metaphysics consist of five main areas, namely Mountain, Medicine, Life, Form, Divination.
Mountain refers to the study of meditation, self-healing and martial arts for longevity. Medicine is the art of applying traditional Chinese medicine and prescriptions like acupuncture for health and healing. Life is the study of natal birth charts through Bazi and ZiWei Astrology to chart out one’s destiny. Form is the art of studying forms such as facial features, palm reading, Feng Shui (forms of the environments). Lastly Divination is the art of prediction and forecasting.
These knowledge and studies have been with the ancient Chinese for many thousand years. These skillsets and knowledge are usually not open to public and the masters are extremely selective on the students to teach to pass down their skills and lineage. As these knowledges are usually taught in secrecy, people in our modern age will find it difficult to comprehend. Thus, instead of art and science, Chinese Metaphysics has been typically deemed as superstition. Over time, as Chinese Metaphysics produced results and proven the effectiveness, adoption on its applications start to become popular, even in the western countries.
